Cafe Corner: Cafe Orange

Cafe Orange is a hidden gem tucked inside the heart of Garden Grove. Unassuming on the outside with its simple signage and modest storefront, the inside opens up to a whole other visual experience.
The cafe is actually two rooms linked together with a door. The space next door had opened up, so the owners bought it and converted the second room into a sit down area for the cafe.
The first room is meant for ordering and pickup. They serve boba, shaved ice, waffles and ice cream, and an assortment of Korean food. Here you can order finger food like popcorn chicken and fries, as well as heavier items like bibimbap, sushi, and rice bowls. We found the price very reasonable for the portion sizes. For the price point, it’s a great experience food-wise and ambiance-wise.
Past the doorway in the second room is where the magic happens. Walking in, guests will see lights criss-crossing the ceiling and cozy decor.
Along the wall, a small town pops up, touting signage for urban steaks and flowers. If you look closely, you’ll see a correlation between the shops and Cafe Orange’s popular menu items.
The attention to detail is amazing. We found the cutest cactus tucked between the windows. And just look at all those flowers!
First round around, we ordered their bulgogi kimbob (their version of a kimbap), bulgogi cup bob (rice bowl), and popcorn chicken. The total ran out to be about $20. We had so much food, we had to take some to go.

We came in January and caught the last bits of the holiday. The playlist was mostly Christmas with some Bossa Nova. Further along, we heard some R&B and soft Kpop. The ambiance is quality.
We recommend a visit to Cafe Orange. This cafe is perfect for catching up with friends, or a cute date spot. However, we will say the ambiance is more lunch date – or dessert and boba date – versus dinner date.
We also recommend this cafe for studying. We saw lots of visitors bring in their laptops and books. Free WiFi and spacious parking out front make the cafe more accessible and give it a big plus.
We are already planning another trip back. Their drinks look promising, especially the Spade (signature drink)! You can be sure to read about it in our upcoming Taste Tested review.
If you’re ever in the Orange County area, we definitely recommend a stop by!
Cheers,
